Ice Skating Trip

A great time was had by all at Doncaster Dome on our recent ice skating trip.  Watch out for more trips later in the year.

New Equipment for New Year

Thanks to the Sherburn Pride funding the drop in centre has received, we have now managed to purchase lots of new equipment. Some of the new equipment includes Wii and Xbox consoles with various games, controllers and steering wheel. Lap tops and software. Monitors and a big screen for the Wii, and lots more. We have also been able to make a secure store unit for all the new items uisng this funding.

Sherburn Pride Funding

October 2008 - The youth drop in has successfully secured funding from Sherburn Pride of £4433. This money can now be used to buy computer equipment, games and stationery. Having the use of computers and educational software will be really helpful to aid school work and encourage use of IT. The new equipment will be purchased over the next few weeks.

Annual Sherburn Gala

May 2008 – At the annual Sherburn Gala, the youths walked in the procession with a banner to contribute to the parade and promote the youth drop in centre. The youth drop in won the trophy for 2nd place in the procession.

Halloween party

October 2009

We recently held our 2009 Halloween Party, it was a huge success with lots of fun and games such as pass the parcel, wrap the mummy, pin the nose on the pumkin, bobbing apples and free halloween food!  Pictures of the event will appear on the website soon.

October 2007

The drop in centre held a halloween party. Youths were invited to dress up and a prize was given to the best costume. The volunteers also dressed up. During the evening there was music, face painting, drawing, party games with prizes including pin the tail on the devil and pass the parcel.

Elmet Gala committee donation

In 2007 Sherburn in Elmet Gala committee donated £1000. The youths made a banner to give them to say thank you.
